10 Things I Wish I Knew Before Signing Up for Yoga Teacher Training:
Levitation is not a requirement.
Yoga techniques will help you practice whatever you believe in with more love.
Eating well is a big part of the practice.
You’ll learn how to nourish your mind as well.
The foundation of yoga isn’t a physical posture - it’s compassion.
Yoga will teach you how to love, forgive and accept yourself.
You’ll also learn how to love, forgive and accept others.
The learning is infinite but each stage will gift you with greater ease and contentment.
Life’s challenges won’t disappear but you’ll know how to navigate them.
The best way to learn something is to teach it.
I worried I was “too normal” to sign up for yoga teacher training:
I didn’t use incense
I didn’t know what a “moon” cycle was
I couldn’t levitate
I was just a regular human struggling with anxiety and intense disappointment in myself.
I figured I enjoyed yoga class so I’d take it a step further expecting to add another exercise job to my bucket.
I had no idea about the incredible healing that was about to begin.
My life is very different now. With yoga I’ve:
found a way to express myself
healed my “chronic” back pain
transformed from my worst enemy to my best friend
found my soul family
created a career I love
Of course there are other side effects of yoga practice. Your body + mind will get stronger. You will become more flexible. You will feel better.
But the greatest transformation will be closer to your heart.

Teacher training begins in two weeks! We’ll meet on 9 weekends over a 3 month period. Each weekend we’ll explore different aspects of the practice. Then you will have homework to integrate the practices before the next session.
